In a small town, it's easy to know everyone who comes in and out of the local restaurants. However, this story begins with a bartender and cowboy that had never crossed paths before.

His ornery personality caught her eye, as her smile caught his. Each brought life to the conversation that led to more and more shared stories over a bar top counter. It would have been hard to miss the personalities clicked almost instantly. He had endless humor and she was full of life and wonder. The chemistry became indescribable as their friendship quickly ignited.

Through the years, the bartender and cowboy that came wandering in the door, blossomed into a relationship that was built on trust, adventure, and long conversations of dreams they were chasing. With each passing day, these once strangers couldn't help but fall into a love for one another that only God could foresee coming. HE simply had yet to enlighten them on this story that was effortlessly adding valuable chapters.

Through hard times and good times, they realized there was never a time they wanted to be without the other.

Many sunrises shared over coffee and many nights over a cold brew, the conversations never ceased and the dreams only grew.

The night this cowboy mustered up the courage to propose to this woman, the timing had to be perfect. However, as he quickly came to understand... she is never on time so the timing was never going to be perfect.

The thought of a life with each other with the simple answer of "yes" was hanging on the horizon. The summer night was warm, the field of beans they were parked by on the dirt road were growing, and his heart was racing...

With the song "Til You Can't" playing over the truck speakers and the now-or-never moment happening, that wandering cowboy was ready to drop to his knee to pull a ring box out of his boot.....

Sounds romantic, doesn't it? It was. But only after he had to search everywhere to find her because she was off looking at the beans in the field.

So, it may not have been exactly how he planned since she pulled a disappearing act on him. However, when he asked in the colors of the Kansas sunset, she said "of course!" .... okay after about a minute of just standing there shocked. Talk about anticipation for the man.
