It all started at a jazz club in Denver when Lindsey couldn't finish her french fries. She offered them to some goof in sandals and after Marty gobbled them down the unacquainted pair followed their mutual friends (and Marty's cousin Andi) to Tarantula Bar. There, Lindsey used her super power of Raynaud's to draw the man in once again. Marty inquired as to why Lindsey had a dozen napkins wrapped around her drink. This got them chatting and they learned each held a passion for exploration and new experiences.

They exchanged numbers and the next evening they went on their first date. A light-up koozie was gifted to keep Lindsey's hands from chameleoning again and they bopped all around Denver. They started at a wine bar. Walked to a salsa-dancing club (which they never entered due to a dress code forbidding Marty's sandals) so they danced in the lobby of a hotel Lindsey needed to pee at. And finally they scootered to an arcade-bar where Lindsey beat Marty in every game of skeeball (Marty would like to comment there is no record to backup this statement).

That may have been the end of the night for some, but everything felt so natural and fun that Marty decided to show Lindsey his old apartment on Pearl street. Lindsey didn't realize that entailed scaling a brick wall where Marty proceeded to strip down into his undies before plunging into the pool of the property they just broke into. Strange forsure, but Lindsey loved it. She sat on the pool's edge with her feet dangling in the water and they continued talking and laughing together.

It was the perfect evening. The summer air was warm and the moon was shining bright. Marty scootered Lindsey home and with a kiss goodnight the pair was on their way to falling for one another.

The couples story continued. They quickly took their first international trip together to Costa Rica. They adventured, overcame challenges, and deepened their connection through Lindsey's thought-provoking questions.

She inspired Marty through her thoughtfulness in small and large acts of kindness and she supported him to meet his goals. She's been there for his endurance races, broken back (yes Marty fractured it again), and his crazy dreams to raft in Africa and complete the Nine-9s challenge.

Lindsey fell deeply for Marty's big heart and the kindness he shows for others. She is inspired every day by his ability to let things go and go with the flow. And lastly, she is so grateful for the way he supports her and is there for her always.

Overtime they traveled all over the globe where Marty asked her to marry him atop Norway's most famous Troll Tongue (Trolltunga). Knowing there was a 2,000ft drop, cold weather coming in, and that Marty held their tent for the night; Lindsey said "of course!".

And here we are today. Lindsey and Marty are excited to spend another weekend in Colorado this fall, celebrating their love with friends and family on September 28th, 2025.
