Starting out as freshmen at Berry College in Northwest Georgia, Jacob and Lindsey were tossed into an overwhelming amount of new experiences, friendships, and opportunities, through such they somehow crossed paths with each other. They definitely don't have a very specific "how we met" story. In fact, they are not sure if their first interaction was at the giant slip-and-slide, lunch at the dining hall, or just meeting through friends. But however it was, they definitely caught each other's interest.

As their first semester progressed, Lindsey and Jacob started spending increasingly more time together. While not officially dating, the two often found themselves walking side by side downtown, bearing down on studying together, or even just escaping on a drive out into the countryside when life was hard. On one such drive on a chilly Monday evening, Jacob finally found the courage to admit his feelings for Lindsey after some "aggressive encouragement" from his friends. After a mix of very long awkward pauses and fast talking, the two found themselves walking hand in hand around a quiet pond, thankful that he had finally found the courage to ask her out.

As with the past two summers, Jacob and Lindsey endured the hardship of a long-distance relationship during the summer of 2018. Jacob was working full time in a laboratory on campus while Lindsey spend the summer helping at a dance studio, preparing for student teaching, and working one last time at Doe River Gorge Camp in Tennessee. The two were confident they were each other's soul mates, but due to future schooling and career opportunities, they were unsure when they could make it official. After hearing some priceless advice at a friend's wedding, Jacob decided that there was no time like the present to set their future in stone. After plenty of ring shopping, strategic planning, and help from the best people on earth to make it happen, Jacob and Lindsey were engaged in the Berry College Chapel on August 4th, 2018.

It will be almost 5 years in the making. As Jacob and Lindsey have been living in two different states for the past year, this has been their hardest year yet. But after seemingly endless anticipation, Jacob and Lindsey begin their forever journey together on June 6th, 2020. And when they say I do, they hope that all of their closest family and friends will be there to celebrate with them and encourage them as they begin a new chapter in their life. A brave explorer once said that happiness is only real when shared, and they hope to share it with you on this long awaited day.
