It all started at Collin's cousin's wedding. Lindsey was invited as a friend of the groom and bride. Lindsey arrived at the wedding and rushed over to say hello to Lucy and Zach, her friends from college, who just so happen to be Collin's sister and brother-in-law. Lindsey and Collin were introduced to one another and moved along with each of their nights.

Three days after the wedding, Collin asked his sister, Lucy, for Lindsey's contact information. After getting the information, Collin immediately messaged Lindsey "Heyo how's it going." This led to small talk which eventually led to their first date at Barrel House in Sioux Falls. The first date went so well that they decided to go to Blarney's Pub for some drinks and a walk downtown.

Since the first date, the couple grew more and more fond of each other. Collin started driving up to Sioux Falls twice a week to go on dates with Lindsey. Lindsey found herself making more trips to see her mother and Steve because Collin lived close by.

After 409 days of dating one another, Collin proposed! Prior to the proposal, Collin brainstormed his proposal plan with a few of Lindsey's family members.

On December 24, 2024, after the candlelit Christmas Eve church service, Steve, Lindsey's step-father, lured her outside after telling Lindsey her car taillght was out. While Steve and Lindsey checked her car lights, everyone else inside frantically set up for the proposal. After checking the car lights Lindsey walked through the front door and Collin got down on one knee and proposed! Lindsey said "YES!"

Now Collin and Lindsey are enjoying wedding planning and looking forward to becoming husband and wife on August 1, 2025.
