Wear what is comfortable for you, we prefer a Casual attire. You can wear sundresses, jumpsuits, coordinating skirt sets or casual maxi dresses with sandals or flats, if you aren’t a fan of heels. For those wearing pants, you should pair your khakis with a nice button-down or polo shirt. We want you to be present, look good, and enjoy the day with us!

Yes! The ceremony will take place outside next to the Barn, where the reception is to follow. This location is the Weathered Wisdom Barn in Preston, MO. The ceremony is outside, the reception is inside.

There is a hotel wedding block at the nearest hotel called Old Kinderhook Hotel in Camdenton, MO about 20-30min away. The block code is "100325SCWE". Use this code to book your stay for Saturday Oct 4th, 2025 if you need lodging. The hotel number is 573-260-1247.

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations in the area including a 30ish minute trip, as well as the Springfield, MO area.

Yes there is parking, though we recommend carpooling as much as you can. We will have a shuttle to Old Kinderhook Hotel at the end of the wedding event taking those who may have drank a little too much a ride back to the hotel. The venue owner has expressed that she is okay with cars staying at the venue overnight, but requests that the cars be picked up as early as possible the next day (no later than 11am),

NO smoking inside of the barn. NO puking inside, puking outside is OKAY. NO driving or dumping ice on the grass. NO one near the lake or hay loft. NO turning on the AC, walk outside or grab some ice. DO NOT burn yourself on the fire pit when making s'mores. DEFINITELY have so much FUN!

We do not mind as long as it reflects the invitation addressing you. For example, "Ms. Emily Smith and Guest" would indicate a plus-one; "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and children" would indicate children included, but we ask that you RSVP the number of children you want to attend with you.

Yes please! We ask you refrain from phone use during the ceremony, but all other times you are free to snap pics/videos.

There will be a cocktail hour with charcuterie board snacks. The dinner will include pasta, salad, and breadsticks. Then dessert will include cupcakes, s'mores making, and some other sweet treats!

There will be a self-serve bar of canned beer and seltzers. There will also be water, soda pop, and tea available.
