Craig and Lindsey both attended Marist High School and St. Xavier University. Lindsey is one year ahead of Craig is school and they did not run in the same circles at all. Lindsey was the quiet type who spent most of her time in art class or at dance after school. Craig was also the artistic type, and played all kinds of sports like basketball, football, and volleyball. Lindsey will tell you Craig was significantly cooler than she was in high school!

Craig and Lindsey both studied art in college, but only crossed paths once in a singular art class. Lindsey studied fine arts while Craig studied graphic design. Having only one art class together, we only briefly knew of each other.

After graduating, Lindsey moved to Florida to work a Walt Disney World. She moved back home after two years at what seemed to be the perfect time. The same week the Lindsey moved home, she and Craig happened to connect online. In a few short weeks, we met up at his senior art show. The rest is history!

Craig proposed on our five year anniversary. He had planned a fancy dinner downtown at the LondonHouse Chicago. It was a big anniversary which required a fancy new dinner spot to try. It was a normal day and all Lindsey knew was that they were going out to dinner. You would have had no idea Craig had this elaborate plan up his sleeve. He was so calm and collected and did not let on that he was executing this proposal in a few hours.

They got dressed and headed our way downtown. Craig was still so calm on our way until they ran into a small roadblock. They were right behind an accident on the highway which delayed traffic quite a bit. They were able to get through traffic and make it to their reservation right on time.

When they arrived to the hotel, they went up for their dinner reservation. The staff also played it cool and did not let on at all to what was coming in the next few minutes. They road up in an elevator and arrived at the rooftop of the hotel. There were rose petals all around and Craig got down on one knee with the skyline as a backdrop. Lindsey said yes and they celebrated with a bottle of champagne and a photoshoot. Craig had hired two photographers to capture this special moment. As we all know, Lindsey loves a good photoshoot ;) They enjoyed dinner at the LondonHouse and went back to celebrate at home. Craig had conspired with Lindsey's sister, Lauren to fly in early from Florida and surprise her that evening. It was such a special day and Craig truly thought of everything!
