Our Story

How We Met

Picture of How We Met
It was by pure coincidence that Lindsey did her student teaching at Edmonton Elementary. While there she worked with Michelle Glass. When Michelle found out Lindsey was a Christian, she passed her number along to Jeremy. It took him two weeks to call her. For two weeks they spent a lot of late night conversating the old fashioned way- on the phone and not texting. Eventually over spring break they made last minute plans to meet.

Our First Date

Jeremy and Lindsey had never met before and spring break was almost over. Off handedly Jeremy invited Lindsey to ride with him to take a piece of equipment to Russellville one day in a semi (cause she had never rode in one). She quickly agreed (this plan was made around 11pm). After Jeremy gives her directions to a random field (which later became where Glass Grain’s shop is), Lindsey and her mom spent the next hour using Google map (street view) to find out where she was supposed to meet him at 5 am the next morning. While it was still dark, Lindsey eagerly takes off to meet Jeremy (who she had at least Facebook stalked so she knew what he looked like….he didn’t think to Facebook stalk her). As she rolls into the field, she has no idea where to go but parks near the semi. Jeremy meets her at her car door and his first words were “You ready?” Little did they know that was a loaded question. Lindsey leaves her car parked (with tons of camping gear in the back cause she had been camping the night before and scribbled out directions to the field). As it turned out Jeremy hadn’t told anyone he was taking Lindsey with him so for the rest of the day the great mystery of “Who’s vehicle with camping gear and directions to this location” unfolded over the phone. Meanwhile Lindsey’s mom is texting her every hour to make sure this person hasn’t ended up being some psycho killer. He is in the tractor dealership for about three hours while Lindsey sat in the semi by herself. So Jeremy and Lindsey were gone all day and since Jeremy doesn’t eat lunch he forgot to feed Lindsey. So at 4 pm he finally thinks to feed her…..at Wendy’s. When they arrive back at the field he gets out and says, “Well thanks for going, bye”. She climbed back in her car and headed home, not really sure what he was thinking. …..He did call her that night.
