Only 20 minutes from Gold Canyon Resort, Peralta Regional Park is a perfect place to get immersed in the beauty and scenery of the Sonoran Desert here in Arizona. Peralta Trailhead is one of many spots to do a variety of trails for breathtaking views of the Superstition Mountains just outside Gold Canyon Resort! Highly recommend!

Explore lost dutchman state parks and hike the superstition mountains. Wildflowers are usually in full bloom in April so this is a great place to see them! Visit their website for a variety of trails.

Walk down Main Street, explore the many shops and historic buildings. Tour the historic Mammoth Gold Mine and visit the Goldfield Museum. Pan for gold then take a ride on Arizona’s only narrow gauge train. You’ll also get to witness an old west gun fight performed by the famous Goldfield Gunfighters! Tortilla Flat is a small but charming old western town deep in the Superstition Mountains with a bit of history. The drive from Gold Canyon Resort is about 45 minutes and provides amazing scenic views of the Superstition Mountains and nearby Canyon Lake. Before Tortilla Flat is access to the Dolly Steamboat that provides tours of Canyon Lake and the Salt River.

Visit Sedona

Dinosaur Mountain is a small peak that offers an hour or so of fun scrambling and interesting views. Dinosaur Mountain is southeast of the greater Phoenix area. Climbers will utilize trails at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort. The trailhead is at the north end of the resort, with ample parking nearby.
