Picture it… May of 2021 - about a year since the big scary pandemic started. We were doing what most single people were doing around that time: SWIPING RIGHT! That’s right. Our story begins with Bumble 🐝

We took a chance on meeting a total stranger for an afternoon ice cream date (shoutout Dillards in Greer) and luckily for us, it was a success! Classic first date stuff. She was cute. He was funny. We decided to try it again sometime. Fast forward a few dates later, and we knew that we had actually managed to do something many thought impossible. We found a good person online!

Things became official by July and we were exploring the world together through fun dinners, doggy play dates, and mini-golf. Lots of mini-golf. We learned to navigate the busy life of a nurse with an unpredictable work schedule and a band director with long hours of concerts and competitions, always making time for each other and learning to grow together. We knew that we definitely had something special.

A little over two years into dating, Jake finally got around to asking the big question. (It’s a good story, if you ever want to hear it. Definitely ask to see the video of Lindsey’s surprise face…) The answer was obviously “YES!” And here we are! We are so looking forward to our wedding in May 2024, almost exactly three years since we were brave enough to swipe and send those first messages. We know that there are so many wonderful things to come! Thank you for your love and support.
