Lindsey and Rob matched on Hinge just two weeks before Lindsey was set to leave for Poland. Their very first date was at the iconic Bubba's 33 (because nothing says romance like beer and football), and they instantly hit it off. They quickly discovered they had a lot in common - Michigan roots, chemistry degrees, and service in the Army.

Lindsey was supposed to be gone for nine months in Poland, but fate had other plans. A (not so) lucky back injury brought her home early, just in time to spend two bonus months with Rob before the Army sent him to Arizona. What followed was nine months of long distance love - movies over facetime, video game dates, countdowns, and plane tickets - until Rob returned to Texas.

They soaked up five wonderful months in the same zip code before it was Lindsey's turn to relocate, this time to Ohio. Another nine months apart (are you sensing a theme?), and at long last, they found themselves reunited in Texas again - this time for good.

We have always said how lucky we were to meet each other, even though it was the unluckiest timing. After years of distance, travel, and different time zones, we are so thankful to finally be together. We never imagined those first two weeks, squeezed in before a big overseas move, would turn into finding our forever person. Distance truly does make the heart grow fonder, but we're happy to never have to do it again.
