Our Wedding

It was love at first sight… I mean Swipe! We first talked on a dating app in November of 2020. We exchanged thousands of messages and a few phone calls where we bonded over a mutual love of Marvel movies, music, and just being young adults in a pandemic world. By January of 2021, we had met and started dating!  Our first date was at Mod Pizza and then to the Austin Aquarium and then to an ice cream favorite, Andy’s. We spent these first few hours together really just getting to know each other. Over pizza we talked about music, movies, our lives as students, and our life goals. Brian will never let Lindsey forget that she totally made a fool of herself lying about listening to Sum 41. He asked about a few different albums and she didn’t have the heart to admit that she only knew them from ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’. The aquarium became a staple of our relationship because of this date. We love going to aquariums any chance we get. Lindsey will never let Brian forget how scared he was of petting the stingrays, even though he still denies it to this day. We had spent all the time we could at the aquarium, but still wanted to be together. We decided to get ice cream. This was not a wise choice, since we both have some lactose intolerance. The date ended fairly quickly after this. What a laugh we had later when we both admitted our stomachs were hurting so bad we had to mutually pretend to be busy and end the date!   Since that date we have done a lot of growing. We spent 2 years in a long distance relationship switching weekends and holidays to see each other whenever possible. Lindsey spent a summer working in Austin to be closer to Brian. Brian spent any school break traveling to Fort Worth. In this time we both graduated college, Brian became an uncle, Lindsey started her insurance career, and we both counted down the days to when we could share a zip code.   In July of 2023 Brian got a job in Forth Worth and they finally moved in together. In October of 2023 we got our first apartment- a one bedroom. It didn’t take us long to upgrade (we needed our space)! On December 23rd, 2023 Brian proposed to Lindsey in Downtown Round Rock. It was a rainy night that we will never forget- but don’t ask us what Brian said when he was on one knee… all Lindsey remembers is that she was shocked he was asking her considering she had got in a fender bender in his car earlier that night. And all Brian remembers was that his knee was wet and he was scared Lindsey might say no.   Wedding planning was much harder than either of us had expected, and it has taken us time to finalize our dream day- as many of you have liked to remind us! ;) We are so excited to finally tie the knot and start our married lives together. We currently are working to save as much money as we can to get a house of our own and eventually start a family.   All of you have played a part in our lives and our relationship and we are so excited to share our special day with you!
