Air travel
If you are flying in, there are two options: Detroit-Wayne International Airport (DTW) and Toledo Express Airport. Detroit offers far more flight options and will generally be more affordable. Most flights into Toledo Express have a stopover in Chicago.
It's about a 45-minute drive from the Detroit Airport to downtown Toledo. For that trip, you have three options:
- Rent a car or carpool
- Take a Froggy Transportation shuttle for $32.99 one-way
- Take a taxi/Lyft/Uber (estimated $88 one-way; not recommended)
Driving and want to share the love? Looking for a ride? Check out the Group Carpool site for our wedding weekend!
The Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Downtown will be our main hotel for the wedding weekend. It's in the heart of downtown, overlooking Mud Hens stadium, surrounded by restaurants, and is near the lovely river walk.
Rooms are available starting at $130 per night. We're not doing a block because the nightly rate was somehow more expensive that way (y tho?) so we recommend booking sooner than later.
We will offer a shuttle to and from the Hilton before the ceremony and after the reception.
- Nice option less than 10 minutes from ceremony and rehearsal dinner ($99+): Delta Hotels Toledo
- Budget option 11 minutes from the zoo and near restaurants ($74+): Quality Inn
- Unique guest house in the historic Old West End ($250+): The Kings Throne Inn
- Toledo's fanciest, also downtown ($156+): The Renaissance Toledo Downtown
There are also plenty of Airbnbs in the Toledo area.
