His Story
Our story is not really our story. It's more of God's story, and we want to honor what He has done that neither one of us could have ever expected.
Online dating can be daunting but we actually met on two different dating sites. The first time we matched was in April 2023, five months before we started dating. Since I had just gotten out of a relationship I was not in a hurry, so I was taking my time responding. He obviously did not take too kindly to this because.... wait for it.... HE DELETED ME since I was "dragging my feet". Fast-forward to September 2023. I had just signed back up on a totally different dating site and the very next day…. there he was ❤️.
God not only brought Jude into my life when I did not know just how badly I would need a shoulder, but He also gave me Phillipians 4:8 to use as a guide, and to my surprise...He met every one of those qualities 🙏.
A month into dating, my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and the outlook was rather grim at that time. Having lost both of his parents in his late 30’s and early 40’s, Jude pressed in when so many others would've ran away. We both began to watch God unfold this beautiful love story between two people who’d just about given up hope on a forever love. Our Relationship developed very quickly as we recognized so many of the characteristics and traits we had both been praying for. I have often said that I don’t believe that God created just one person for you to be compatible with, but what makes a person the “one” is the right person at the right time. It would seem that our very good God was listening after all. God’s timing is everything.
