Lisa & Sarah met while at work and developed a friendship that quickly matured to the deepest love. They both discovered in one another the greatest affection, purest understanding, and most profound compatibility. It is with indescribable joy that they invite their friends and family to join them in a celebration of their love and commitment, as they embark on their next journey in life as a single unit.

Some might ask, "Why is Mary Poppins as your theme?" To that we paraphrase Mary herself and say, "We never explain anything." In all seriousness, we both really enjoy Mary Poppins because we love musicals, Julie Andrews & Dick Van Dyke, and the way it reminds us of being kids. The movie is whimsical, artistically pleasing, and downright fun. We both enjoy Julie Andrews as an actress, and love her movies. The Sound of Music is Sarah’s all time favorite, and Andrews' book Mandy is one of her top 3 books. Lisa watched Mary Poppins countless times as a kid; the dancing, singing, and live action mixed with cartoons was fascinating to her.

More recently, when we were in Palm Springs, we stayed in a home that was said to be owned by Julie Andrews. We had narrowed down possible wedding dates to two Saturdays in October, one being October 1st. When we looked for notes of interest about our two dates, we discovered that October 1st just happened to be Julie Andrews' birthday. It was absolutely meant to be, and felt only right that we should have Mary Poppins as our theme.
