It all started on my boat…. It was that boat ride with her family and some friends that found me fascinated by all things Lisa. She was fun, full of laughter, and easy to talk to. After that day where we were randomly introduced, it would be 6 months before i would get to see her again as she was living and working in St Simons. Thankfully, she moved back to Cobb county, and soon thereafter we found ourselves on a first date. That date was the “behind the scenes” work of her sister Tracy. We both love Tracy for so many reasons but our introduction stands tall at the top of that list. That first date was February 4th and we went with a group made up of her family and other friends. The rest is history as we went on a second date, third, and so on. I never looked back, not for a second. I was captivated by this beautiful, smart, family oriented lady. In time she has proven to become my life’s one true soulmate, my best friend, my sister in Christ, and a lover of family. My children love her and she loves them. For me, I have been blessed with two new adult children that I now proudly call my own. On December 28th at sunrise while on the beach at Turks and Caicos with our entire family, I knelt down and expressed my desire to love her for the rest of my life. I asked her for her hand in marriage and she gracefully fell to her knees to hug my neck and say the words I had hoped to hear. She said YES, over and over she said YES. That is the day we committed our lives to one another and began the planning of our marriage. The real point of this love story is that God was and is faithful to provide. Lisa and I both have had some very challenging times thrown at us in our previous lives. Challenges that were unforeseen and out of our control, that brought difficulty and pain to both our lives and our children lives. Never the less we both remained faithfully committed to God and his plan for our future. Thru that walk we have gotten to see God provide healing, forgiveness, and personal growth. Ultimately He provided Lisa and I a love for each other that has produced this new family unit that exist to honor our Lord and Savior. God is good all the time and He has proven time and time again that His plans are perfect even when we cant yet see the outcomes. I will live the rest of my life loving this woman, showing her respect, valuing her many attributes, and providing her stability and faithful commitment day after day. God has blessed me with a wife whom I call blessed and with whom I will walk out this life with a thankful heart. She is my everything and my daily reminder that God is in control and that he truly does have a plan to prosper us. Praise God!!!

Jeremiah 29:11

“For i know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

Our story began with God’s plan for us to find each other and experience true love and happiness. I prayed for God to put me on earth where I could serve him the most. I prayed for God to send me a gentleman to love forever and unconditionally if it was his will. And God delivered more than I could have ever dreamed. Then our story began, our path’s crossed on his boat and then 6 months later we became inseparable. God delivered abundantly when he sent me Matt and his 4 children. Together, our family is complete with 6 children which makes me extremely happy and fulfilled. Yes, we are the Brady Bunch now and I love it. I could not ask for a better leader for our family, and I have and will always have the utmost respect for him.

When we started dating, I described Matt to my daughter and family as a Godly man that is a true gentleman with a kind and humble heart that serves so many people and loves his family unconditionally. Hence, his nickname is my “Hidden Gem” which you all will experience a treat at our Wedding describing my feelings for Matt. He knows how to love respectfully, and it is so fulfilling to my heart. I have to say, “he makes my heart flutter every time I see him”. He loves serving others but especially his family. I let my guard down and fell completely in love with Matt on our first family vacation with his kids. He is an amazing father, and he pours his love into me and our family every day. Our engagement on December 28th in Turks and Caicos during our yearly Christmas Family vacation was one of the best days of my life. Our wedding day on December 14, 2024, will be my most memorable blessing. My family tells me that they see the happiness that Matt brings in my life again and I am overjoyed to live out our lives together with each other, our families and friends.

We share the same morals and interest in life and a lot of the time we are thinking or saying the same thing which lets me believe I have found my soul mate. Matt is my best friend, and partner/husband that I want to share my life with for eternity. I believe we have the most respectful relationship that will soon be a beautiful marriage that I will cherish always and forever. I know we are going to have a marriage like Harold and Mam (his parents); a marriage that is patient, kind, full of love, respect and honor.

I have always entrusted my family and God to help me through the challenges that I experienced over the years. I am so thankful that this journey has led me to Matt and his family!

Thank you, Matt, for making our family complete…. I love our family! This is the first of the rest for us and I can’t express enough how much I love you. I will be forever grateful, and I will be devoted to you above myself.

Matt and I are looking forward to making memories with our family and friends in years to come. What we are looking forward to the most is seeing our kids have children that we can take on camping trips and make everlasting memories.
