I have food allergies! What do I do?
Just tell us! When you receive your invitation, we will include a space for you to list any food allergies or sensitivities. We will be sure the staff members at the Mount Washington are aware of all specific issues. They are extremely accommodating and always have options for items that are dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and other-things-free. (No calorie-free items though -- sorry, John!)
Are my kids invited to the wedding?
While we would LOVE to have all kids attend to teach us a thing or two on the dance floor, we would have to start seating people on the roof due to the numbers of guests that would entail. And there just wouldn't be enough cake left for John. So unfortunately, we cannot accommodate kids at the wedding. Sorry!
But can my kids come for the weekend?
Of course! If you are coming for the weekend or even just an overnight, there are plenty of family-friendly activities at the hotel and in the general area. Jack and Aiden have been enjoying the game room and the pools for years, and Kennedy regularly tap dances in the main lobby to entertain other guests. The hotel is very safe and welcoming for all ages. Be sure to inquire about possible babysitting options too -- it is often something the hotel offers in-house, and/or the hotel may also have suggestions for local providers. John will also babysit any kids in the bar, as long as he is provided with a beverage.
Can I play golf?
You sure can! The hotel has two courses and you can book a tee time here: https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/bretton-woods-mount-washington/golf. John recommends the 18-hole Mount Washington course because he only lost six balls when we played there, not the usual nine.
We are hoping to get a group together to play on Monday afternoon (6/30), so if you are interested in that, please let us know.
Is John changing his name?
No, he is going to continue using the name that he was given at birth and that he has been known by for the past 47 years. He likes his name and thinks it is a great name, and doesn't see why he should have to change his name, just because he's a man.
Did John contribute to this Q&A?
No, no he did not.
