Our meet cute began in 2018 in the garden of our Avenue T house in Galveston. Eric was downsizing in order to focus more directly on Devil and the Deep Brewing and moved into the efficiency on the Avenue T property where Lisa lived with several other zoo familt roommates. About a year or so later, Lisa was looking for a roommate again in the front house. Eric was ready to move into a larger space and the rest was history! We started spending time with one another and bonded over our love of dogs, beer, baseball, food, and Texas Hill Country. We are so excited to get hitched in Cedar Creek where our romance blossomed.

Jenna is a long time great friend and roommate of the bride.  They met during an internship in Florida and reunited years later in Texas to many laughs and shenanigans.  She is the best aunt a pug could ask for.

Amy is one of Lisa's good friends from working at the Houston Zoo together.  She is excited to be there for LIsa on her special day!

Lisa and I met working together at the zoo! She had just transferred from another department while I had just come back from maternity leave. We quickly bonded over our love for family, animals, and a laundry list of other things. If you've spent time with Lisa, then you know it doesn't take long to see her compassion, generosity, and deep love for life. She always shows up when it means the most, for the joyous moments in life as well as the difficult times in life. I am honored and thrilled to be able to celebrate Lisa and Eric in this prosperous chapter of their life! I wish for nothing but the best for these two deserving, devoted souls.

Stephani and “the other Eric” met Lisa and Eric (and Jenna) when their kids saw them walking the pugs and bombarded them requesting pets! Since that day they have built a friendship that feels more like family. We are so happy for you both and thrilled to be a part of your big day!

I met Eric while we were both serving in the Navy. I’m currently an aviation electronics engineer, and back then we bonded the way sailors often do—over shared spirits, dark humor, and more than a few unforgettable nights in Brunswick, Maine. I’m probably the person who’s known Eric the longest and who’s seen him through his highs and lows.

What I can say without hesitation is that having Lisa in his life has illuminated him in every way. Keep doing what you’ve been doing—the happiness is real, it shows, and I’m grateful to be here to celebrate this special day with you both.

I met Eric at a local pub while showing original artwork. He struck up a conversation, asked if I did graphic design, and mentioned he needed a logo for a future brewery. I said yes—and that simple exchange turned into a friendship and a creative partnership that included parades, Japanese rock bands, incredible beers, and a pandemic.

Outside of the beer world, Eric and I bonded over music and a curious niche of movies, took a few great road trips around the state, and shared what is still the best ramen I’ve ever had in New York City. Watching Eric step into this next chapter with Lisa is something truly special. And if you get the chance, ask him about his multipass.

Tim is a long time friend and former roommate of the bride.  Lisa and Tim both grew up in the northeast and moved to Galveston at the same time.  After moving in together, they fostered Mama cat with her six kittens.  Mama cat found her forever home with Tim shortly after that.  Lisa was the "Best Man" in Tim's wedding and now Tim has the honor of Officiant in hers.
