The best option for stay at our wedding is the venue itself! We have booked a block of 10 King size Luxury rooms. If you call the venue, let them know you're booking for the "Lisa Cumming and Jack Rudy Wedding" and you'll get the discounted rate noted above.
The check in time will be 4pm and the checkout will be 12pm the next day. If you are wanting to stay at the venue longer you can book three days before or after at the same rate.
If you're looking for a cheaper option, the Holiday Inn is a good mix of good price and comfort. It's 20 minutes away from the venue, and it's near the Pearson airport so could be a reliable option if you're flying in for this special day.
There are plenty of Air Bnb options in Toronto and Etobicoke. If you're espectially looking to stay longer than just the Saturday and Sunday this may be the better option for you. Since the venue isn't right downtown, it should be cheaper than an Air Bnb or hostel in the city.
If you're flying in, the best airport (if you have the option) is to fly into Pearson airport. You know, like that Rush song? It's a 20 minute drive from the Airport if you're wanting to rent a car, or take an Uber.
If you want to take transit from the airport, you can take the UP Express from Pearson and stop at Bloor GO. Then from Bloor GO walk over to Dundas West TTC subway station and take the subway westbound to Old Mill station. Alternatively, you can take the 900 TTC Bus from Pearson to Kipling station, and then take the subway eastbound to Old Mill station. Both options take 30-40 minutes.
If you're flying into Billy Bishop airport, you can drive or Uber to the Old Mill and that will take 30-40 minutes.
The cheaper option is transit but will take about double the time. There are many transit options ranging in time and price. https://maps.app.goo.gl/t31DPWTNFYbqyDXH6
Our venue the Old Mill is a five minute walk away from the Old Mill Subway station. If you live in Toronto or you took the train in, this is the easiest and cheapest way to get to the venue. From Union Station, simply take Line 1 north (on the University Line) and transfer at St. George Station. Then take Line 2 Westbound to Old Mill station and you can see the venue from the platform!
