So a guy in a white shirt walks into a bar... Lisa had just moved to New Orleans for work unexpectedly. Brett had just moved back to town. One night, while she was comfortably at home in her PJ's, and Brett was about to wind down as well, friends called and asked if they would come out. They initially refused, but finally gave in. Lisa was sitting there, Brett walked in, and that was it . . . As you all know, this wedding was scheduled to happen exactly 1 year ago. For many wonderful reasons, it didn't happen. The stress, the rush, the still getting to know each other and the most important virtue; the patience of being certain. Time is a funny thing! But time has made us realize who we really are. What we value in life. What we value in a relationship and how we've moved forward.

One of my favorites! Affordable luxury, the Omni, on the Mississippi River is also close to the French Quarter, Jackson Square and of course . . . the beignets!

Royal Street - the heart of the French Quarter is full of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and things you just won't find anywhere else! Make sure to get to the Carousel Bar and Lounge at 214 Royal Street for a cocktail ... and just to see the bar!

You MUST try the GIN FIZZ at the Sazerac BarYou will most likely want to stay for another round! It's like key lime pie in a glass - and the Best Hotel Bar that Brett and I like to visit!

For the best sandwiches in town - try this for lunch!Google the website for the pics and menu! A great variety to get a taste of New Orleans! If you can't make it here, try a po-boy in the French Quarter. You won't be disappointed.

The Heart of New Orleans is in Jackson Square. Local artists showcase their unique art, the smell of beignets is wafting in the air, Creole and Cajun food are all around. This is a place to take a stroll through! Also, just blocks away from Royal and Bourbon Streets.

There are many places you can hop on and off of the New Orleans Street Cars! Take a trip down St. Charles to see all of the historic homes! It will circle around and bring you right back to the city!Check for trip times!
