We know, we know. This story could be the plot for a wildly successful, if not overdone, rom-com. BUT, it's not - it's the story of how we met!

You all know that Chris is British, but we actually met in Australia in 2014. We first crossed paths after I graduated from college, and Chris was finishing up a working-holiday visa to Melbourne. We both happened to board the same boat to go on a snorkeling trip at the Great Barrier Reef. Over the course of the boat ride, we exchanged a few lines of pleasantries, until I fell asleep...snorkeling is exhausting!

Fast forward a few weeks, and I boarded a bus at 3am heading from Port Macquarie to Sydney, a short(ish) journey. I recognized the shaggy haired guy on the bus, but it was the middle of the night and even I'm not chatty at that hour!

Another week went by, we both explored the huge and beautiful city of Sydney with our best friends. Fate would have it Chris's plans changed slightly, and we once again ended up on the same bus. Only this time, for 17 hours. Being my mother's daughter, I sat in front of Chris and immediately turned around to acknowledge that we'd met before. 7 hours and no audible breaks later, we'd learned all about each other's families, friends, goals, and dreams. When we finally arrived in Melbourne, we made plans to be in touch. This led to our first date, our first kiss, our first laser-tag match, and many more adventures.

I was only in Melbourne for 3 weeks, but that was plenty of time to decide that moving there was the right next step. In early February of 2015 I joined Chris for another year in Melbourne. We adventured all over Australia, New Zealand, and England, before returning to California to settle into our life together here.

We are so excited to finally celebrate the next step in our story with you all, we couldn't imagine our wedding day without you!
