Friendship turned into love

Picture of Friendship turned into love

What better way to start a relationship then being friends first? Our friendship started about 5 years ago when Josh and I met through mutual friends. Josh became close friends with Sean and Dan at work, where my mom also works. It just so happens Sean and my sister started dating, which is how I met Josh. For years Sean would tease Josh and I about being perfect for each other. Of course we just rolled our eyes and laughed it off. Then one night after a group of our friends hung out for a wine night, Josh and I decided we didn't want to go home yet and ended up talking for hours. That's when we knew we had much in common and time spent together was easy and felt right. I still remember telling Josh a few weeks after we started dating that I was going to marry him someday. And here we are!

The proposal

Josh planned a trip to Ocean Shores for our 2 year anniversary. Of course I didn't think anything of it because we like going on trips so it wasn't out of the ordinary. The second day there, Josh wanted to take a walk on the beach. I found a sand dollar that was full of sand. Josh pointed out a nearby creak that he would rinse it off. While he was kneeling down to rinse it off, I kept thinking how long he was taking. When my back was turned he said my name to get my attention, and when I turned around he was on one knee with a ring in hand. We couldn't stop smiling for days, it was the perfect, most intimate way to purpose, with nobody else around and the beach to ourselves.
