Lisa and Joy met during their first year at Trinity Western while pursuing their Biology degrees. However, when Joy walked in with her ripped black skinny jeans and a leather jacket, Lisa's initial thought was 'this girl is going to be trouble.' But things quickly changed and before long they became inseparable, and it was rare to find one without the other.

Katelyn is Lisa's older sister by five years, and even though she's a bit shorter, she will always be Lisa's 'big' sister in every way that matters. With a heart of gold, Katelyn has always taken pride in looking out for her little sister and making sure she's well cared for.

Lisa and Sarah met in junior high when they joined small group together, but their friendship really grew when they co-lead the kindergarten class at church. It was there, in the chaos and patience testing, that Sarah's gentle heart and Lisa's calming voice bonded them together in friendship.

Lisa met Jenna during orientation on the first day at Trinity Western. As they sat in a circle of unfamiliar faces, they quickly bonded over their shared desire to become pharmacists and their similar looks. Discovering more things in common - like their love for High School Musical and the outdoors - they have been 'fangirling over nature' together ever since.

Lisa and Marissa's friendship began at a time when they both needed a friend the most. Even when over 2,000 miles separated them, they closed the distance with the longest video calls ever. But despite this distance, Marissa has remained one of Lisa's most intentional friends, always making sure they hold each other accountable in their faith.

Martin and Nathan met in Grade 7, when Nathan spotted some scissors he needed to borrow during construction class in Martin's pencil case. 
Since then, the two have been inseparable on 14 years worth of ski trips every year from Grade 7 to current day: a pattern they don't intend on breaking anytime soon.

Marvin and Nathan met in French class, a prerequisite to enter their high school. Instantly bonding over a French Parachuting play, the pair have been on many adventures since from soggy hiking trips in BC, tow truck driving in Australia, and racing up volcano's in Hawaii.

Kieran and Nathan met while volunteering for Kids Ministries at church  - Kieran on stage full of presence, and Nathan behind the tech booth keeping things running smooth. Since then they have shared many deep chats, theoretical hypotheses, and a shared appreciate for deep conversation and connection.  A lifelong friendship from being goofy with the kids.

Andrew and Nathan met before they started having memories, being family friends through their parents. From respecting traffic laws on snowy friday nights to racing in a competition series, the two have shared many late nights at the shop working, fixing, and driving their shared passion for cars. It is hard to find them in the garage without each other.

Camping

For those wishing to camp after the reception, there will be tenting and RV camping availability directly beside (North of) the reception hall, with indoor bathrooms and showers provided. Please contact Nathan and Lisa through the RVSP function, or reach out personally for additional details.

Travelling back to Edmonton

For those wishing to travel back to Edmonton after the reception, we've thought of you too!We are planning on wrapping up our official reception programming by 10:00pm (as we begin the dance and social hour), which would allow those who wish the quick (ish) 2.5hr drive back to Edmonton a decent arrival time.
