Our story begins 6 years ago on March 22, 2018. Kyle and I met in Montgomery, my hometown, while we both worked at a restaurant. I graduated from The University of Alabama and was waiting to attend ATI (Arrhythmia Technology Institute) in Greenville, SC where I would start school for Cardiac Device studies in August. Kyle moved to Montgomery 2 weeks before we met and was the running back coach and special teams coordinator at Faulkner University and also got a second job at the same restaurant I was working at. On Kyle's first night working, the server who was supposed to train Kyle called in sick, so I was asked to take her place. Immediately, we hit it off and had a great night working together. We ended up hanging out afterwards watching a March Madness basketball game and little did we know how much our lives were about to change! This was only the beginning of 'our story,' and Kyle loves to say that I’ve been training him up ever since.
At first, we did not have a typical relationship. After 5 months of living in the same city and spending all of the time that we could together, we endured 2 and a half years of a long distance relationship after I moved to Greenville for school and then to Tuscaloosa for my job at DCH. Coincidentally, this worked out perfectly for us, since Kyle is from Pickens County, 30 minutes away from T-town! We both knew we never wanted to stop being around each other so we made the most out of our distance with the help of Facetime calls throughout the week and spending most every weekend together. Eventually, Kyle got an opportunity to move to Tuscaloosa in the summer of 2021 with me and Millie girl (our first angel baby dog together who we love and miss more than anything). He accepted an opening at Tuscaloosa Academy as the receivers coach for the football team and lower school PE teacher. It was so nice to finally be back in the same city again after 3 long years! We now live together with our 2 fur babies, Jedd and JoJo, at our house in Northport and are loving every minute of it.
Kyle proposed to me on December 15, 2023 and we picked our venue and wedding date in less than a month. We are so excited to be getting married and feel like God put us in Montgomery together that night in March 2018 for a reason. Only a week after getting engaged, Kyle accepted a new job as the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at his Alma Mater, Pickens Academy. We are so blessed and thankful for this new challenge in our lives and are preparing for the Fall football season. Go Pirates!
We appreciate everyone's support throughout our lives and over our relationship the last 6 years. Kyle and I both have one thing in common which is a big heart that loves even bigger, and we love all of y’all and would not be where we are today without your help. Our parents and our wedding party deserve a lot of the credit because without y’all, we would not be standing before you on May 18th committing the rest of our lives to each other. These people have been there through the thick and the thin, cried with us at our lowest moments, and celebrated with us at our best. They have always been there and supported us in everything we do, and we can’t thank y’all enough for that. We realize that this is short notice and absolutely understand if arrangements have already been planned, but we hope to see any and all that can make it! This wedding and reception will commemorate our special day, however, we also want to use it as a celebration and party for all of y’all who have supported us to this point. So y’all come on out and bring your dancing shoes to The Villa in Fosters on May 18th to celebrate us and y'all being great people. Call us if you have any questions or just want to catch up :) We are so excited and grateful for this day and to have all of our favorite people there to share it with!
