About Matt

Matt was born and raised in North Andover, Massachusetts. Growing up with his two brothers, Jason and Josh, there was, "never a dull moment," according to Paula, (Matt's mom), and as Paul (Matt's dad) would would say, the boys were just like "Larry, Moe, and Curly!" He attended culinary school after graduating high school, and opened his own Italian restaurant, where he was the head chef. He has also been an EMT, and for the past 3 years, he has been a Communications Officer for North Andover police department. When Matt isn't working, he loves to go fishing, play on his softball team (GO KNIGHTS!!), and hang out with his family and friends!

About Lisa

Lisa was born and raised in Simsbury, Connecticut, with her mom, dad, and brother, Greg. She attended college and graduate school in Connecticut, earning her degrees and teaching certification, and has been teaching for the past 13 years at the high school and then middle school level. Most recently, she began teaching preschool after moving to Massachusetts. In her spare time, she loves reading, going to wineries and breweries, taking day-trips and traveling, and also spending time with family and friends!

How We Met!

It all began at Matt's 2nd cousin's house in Connecticut on New Year's Eve! Lisa had been teaching at St. Bridget School in Cheshire, Connecticut, and her principal happened to be Matt's 2nd cousin! Jen invited both Matt and Lisa to her New Year's Eve party on December 31, 2016, and we hit it off (despite Lisa's awkward head nod....long story haha!). With about 140 miles across 2 states separating us, we spoke to each other every single day since meeting until we had our first date. I guess you could say that our "blind date" was a success, and our long distance relationship that we had for quite some time made us a strong couple together!
