Chris and Lisa met in the most conventional of ways... through Facebook. Both of them had known of each other through the competition dance world and had competed against each other on multiple occasions. Both Chris and Lisa had unbeknownst to the other hoped for an opportunity to meet and finally did in August 2007 over Facebook. It only took three dates for the pair to go FBO (Facebook Official) and become high school sweethearts.

It did not take long for the strength of the relationship to be tested. After one year of dating, Chris took a job on the road for 9 months. The pair stuck it out and communicated as frequently as possible. While difficult, Chris and Lisa managed to come out on the other side as strong as ever when... Chris took a gig on a cruise ship, followed by a musical theatre job in North Carolina. In 2010, the pair was overjoyed to find themselves studying at Indiana University together, where the two attended for 3 1/2 years side by side, until Chris obtained a job dancing with the Cincinnati Ballet and left school the following day. While facing distance once again, Lisa also faced the many challenges of the Indiana University School of Dentistry. These two have faced many challenges, but with a lot of hard work, patience, and love, they have stuck it out through thick and thin.

The roller coaster of life twisted and turned in so many directions for this couple but it always lead them right back home to each others arms. When an opportunity for Chris to continue dancing in Indianapolis popped up, Lisa got to work looking for a job that could keep her close to home as well, and everything fell into place after he took a knee and she said, “Yes.” It was clearly meant to be.
