Q + A

What are the wedding colors?

Our destination wedding in beautiful Cancún will be bursting with color! Picture the bold turquoise of the Caribbean Sea, the vibrant fuchsia of tropical blooms, and touches of gold to bring a little sunshine and sparkle to the celebration. Teal, fuchsia, and gold will set the tone for a joyful, elegant, and unforgettable day in paradise.

Is there specific wedding attire requested by the bride and groom?

We want you to feel comfortable while celebrating with us! We kindly ask that you dress in beach semi-formal attire—light, breathable fabrics and elegant yet relaxed outfits are perfect for the occasion.

When are the bride and groom arriving to the resort, and how long are they staying?

Lisa and Daniel will arrive in Cancún on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 and will be leaving on Friday, February 20th, 2026. Guests are welcome to stay for 3, 4, 5, 6, or all 7 nights. The more the merrier!!!

What events are planned for the wedding weekend?

While we will have events planned for those in our wedding party, aside from our wedding and reception, we have no scheduled events so that our other guests can fully enjoy their time at the resort. Whether you choose to relax by the beach, explore local attractions, or indulge in resort activities, we hope you make the most of this special getaway!

Can guests make their own travel arrangements?

We’ve secured a Group Room Block at the resort as a requirement of our wedding venue. All guests must stay within this block to attend our wedding events. You're welcome to book directly with the resort if you prefer not to use our travel agent. Please note that external travel websites (such as Expedia or Booking.com) cannot guarantee placement in our room block. For this reason, we do not recommend booking through these sites. However, booking through our agent or directly with the resort guarantees your room will be within our assigned block. Only guests booked within our block will be admitted to wedding events. To simplify the process, access group discounts, and ensure you're included in all celebrations, we encourage you to book through Diane. 📞 678.897.3034 | 📱 @DianeMillerTravels (Facebook & Instagram) If you book directly with the resort, please contact Diane to confirm your room is added to our block. Thank you for helping us make this a seamless and joyful experience—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Are guests required to stay at the resort hosting the ceremony?

Yes, to attend our event, guests are required to stay at the resort where our ceremony and reception will take place , ON OUR SECURED WEDDING BLOCK. The venue requires a minimum stay of three nights for guests booking within our reserved room block. This policy ensures a seamless experience for everyone, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support! Our travel agent is ready to book your stay for as many nights as you wish! Please note that exceptions to booking policy can only be made for guests traveling with small children under the age of five. As our wedding venue is an adults-only destination that requires all guests to stay on-site within our room block, we kindly ask for your understanding that exceptions cannot be granted for other guests. Additionally, per resort policy, the total number of off-site guests (those not staying at the host hotel) cannot exceed 20% of the final confirmed guest list. Unfortunately, any attendees beyond this limit will not be permitted to participate in wedding events or enter the resort. We appreciate your cooperation in making this a special celebration for all! If you have any questions or need assistance with booking, please reach out to our travel agent, Diane Miller, who is happy to help.

We would love for you to celebrate with us for as long as you wish and make the most of this beautiful destination.

Who is responsible for travel and accommodation expenses for guests invited to a destination wedding?

Guests invited to a destination wedding are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. However, the bride and groom happily offer suggestions for discounts through group rates with our travel agent, Diane Miller, at Diane Miller Travels. Please see our Travel page for more information.

Can guests bring a plus one to the resort, wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception?

Plus ones will be specified on your formal wedding invitation. If a plus one is not indicated, we kindly ask that you attend the events of our wedding day solo. However, guests are more than welcome to bring friends and family not attending our event to the resort. Thank you for understanding as we plan for an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends!

Current U.S. passport processing times are 6 to 8 weeks, and current Canadian passport processing times are 10 to 20 business days. To avoid delays, ensure your application is error-free, and apply as early as possible.

Are cell phones or photography allowed or restricted at the wedding, cocktail hour, or reception?

In mid-February, Cancún, Mexico, enjoys warm and pleasant weather. Guests can expect: Temperatures: Highs around 82–85°F (28–29°C) and lows around 67–70°F (19–21°C). Humidity: Moderate, but comfortable with ocean breezes. Rainfall: Generally low, with occasional light showers. Water Temperature: Around 78–80°F (26–27°C)—great for swimming! What is the nearest airport to the resort, and how do guests get to the resort from the airport?

Guests fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN) to get to the TRS Coral Hotel in Costa Mujeres, Mexico. The TRS Coral Hotel is a 5-star, all-inclusive, adults-only resort on the Yucatan Peninsula. It's located on the sugar white sands of Costa Mujeres, about 20.5 miles from the airport. Please contact our travel agent for details on shuttle transportation to and from the airport.

What happens if a guest RSVPs yes but cannot attend the destination wedding last-minute?

If a guest cancels last-minute and does not attend the destination wedding, they are responsible for the cost of the room they had originally booked. Because the wedding couple booked a block of rooms at a discounted rate, the hotel will still hold the individual guests accountable for the charges if they don’t cancel in time, as the couple typically doesn't cover the cost of unused rooms. If one of our invited guests is unable to attend last-minute, we ask that they reach out to us as early as possible. We will make every effort to work with the hotel to minimize the impact, but ultimately, it’s the guest’s responsibility if the hotel’s policy is not flexible. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

I have received a Save-the-Date, and understand that formal invitations are coming soon. How quickly do I need to RSVP?

We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! 💕 Since this is a destination wedding, the RSVP timeline is a bit tighter than for local events. If you’ve already received a Save-the-Date and know whether you can attend, we kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as possible. This helps us tremendously in securing our hotel block and planning all the details. Our RSVP deadline is May 18, 2025. To ensure a seamless experience for everyone, our venue requires that all guests book their stay within our designated room block. We have a travel agent ready to help all guests reserve their travel, transport, and accommodations. Reserving within the block with our travel agent helps us meet our contract requirements and ensures you receive the best rates and perks! Thank you for your understanding and support—we can’t wait to celebrate in paradise with you! While we encourage you to RSVP on our page as soon as you are ready, we ask that you contact our travel agent for further information regarding our hotel block, flight, and transport information.
