We started our love story in April of 2018, online. He had messaged me and I thought "why not, he's pretty cute. We talked over calls and texts until June. At first it was hard trying to find the time to meet, he was living in Lancaster, PA, while I called Baltimore, MD my home. Right before the first time we met, I called him and told him I had a very serious question to ask. "Are you a murderer? Because if so I at least want to dress cute. " If you know me, you know I can be very cynical with my humor.
Once we did meet though, it had felt like we had always known each other. No one ever made me laugh the way he does, or also make me as mad as he does. We knew we always wanted to be with the other.
We found each other by sheer luck, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I can honestly say there is no better travel buddy, or camping partner that i would like to spend my life with. Even if he does frustrate me when setting the tent up.
During the pandemic in 2020, we decided to take a trip to Maine and Vermont.
The first day we had gotten to our destination, he had given me a new necklace, which was strange he's not a jewelry kinda guy . The second day in Maine I was given new earrings, so I immediately had a million and one thoughts going through my mind. On the third day, I was gifted a stuffed animal that resembled Peter Rabbitt. Which i know was weird but it was once my childhood obsessions. I thought all of this was cute, but again Alex isn't a jewelry guy!
The day he proposed we had gone on a hike to see some of the amazing rocky beaches. Which were absolutely incredible and we were alone, which made it that much more romantic. During this time of me looking out at the sea, I turn around to see him on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together.
