Hood River has a ton of activities and fun things to do in the area ranging from breweries, wineries, scenic hikes, parks, and more! We are excited to share some of the places we've visited and some of the places on our wishlist!
Definitely spend some time or go several times here! Downtown Hood River is the cutest area that offers tons of coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, great breakfast diners, ice cream shop and more.
There are tons of hikes to check out when you're in Hood River. It is a nature lover's DREAM! We always recommend doing your research for hiking level, length, weather conditions, and permits if needed. We recommend hiking on the Oregon and Washington side! Mount Hood is also a must see if you have time while you're here.

Highly recommend! Wahkeena Trail offers a 2.8 mile hike filled with lush scenery, Columbia River views, glimpses of waterfalls, and charming historic stonework.
It connects to 3 other great trails Vista Point Trail, Angel's Rest Trail,
Off of Wahkeena Falls Trail. 17 min from Best Western.
0.9 mile trail takes hikers to a great viewpoint!
Another highly recommended hike by us! You can loop around the gorgeous lake. It's approximately 3.1 miles.

The 8-mile trek to the viewpoint starts at about river level and quickly climbs through trees and then over boulders before rising to a bluff above the river. From the top, you'll get a spectacular 270-degree view of the Gorge that includes Beacon Rock, Silver Star Mountain and other landmarks.

Grateful Vineyards
Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Hood while sipping on some tasty wine, house brewed beer or cider. Grateful Vineyard is only a ten minute drive from Downtown Hood River and serves delicious wood-fire pizza too. Make sure to try the pear pizza...it's incredible!
Cathedral Ridge Winery, an award-winning boutique winery in Columbia Gorge specializing in 20+ European varietals.
They have 17 ciders and 7 beers on tap and offer an excellent selection of food. They also serve hard seltzer, kombucha, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Head over to White Salmon (across the river) to a their downtown area. We loved this restaurant! Next to Everybody's Brewery :)
Delicious and yummy breakfast right in the Hood River Hotel in downtown Hood River. You must try and get in here!
Driving is always fun! Description: A unique rural farm experience awaits you in the beautiful Hood River Valley, where you will encounter 28 on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and fields of flowers.
If you have extra days to spend out in Oregon, we definitely recommend driving out to the Coast! It's approximately 2 and a half hours from Hood River and passes through Portland if you want to make a stop there!
You can drive to Hug Point (where we took our engagement photos :) , Cannon Beach, and Arcadia Beach!
