If it’s your first time in town, of course you should go first to visit the Newcastle Castle. Probably is not as big as others but it’s a beautiful historical place in the city you can’t miss!

Also we recommend you having a walk around the Quayside. You can have a drink in front of the Tyne River and later cross the modern Millennium bridge and visit the Baltic Center if you’re a big fan of contemporary art.

Further away there are other beautiful places you can visit if you have more time.

Durham Cathedral (20 miles away from the city center) located in Durham, is one attraction you can’t miss. Built in the late 11th and early 12th century is one of the most important attractions in the city. Its breathtaking architecture will leave you speechless. Also it was location for Harry Potter film for many years.

Alnwick Castle (33 miles away from the city center) is located in the county of Northumberland. Built in the 11th century this place has been renovated a number of times to maintain his original appearance. This beautiful castle as well as a film location for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

Bamburgh Castle (51 miles away from the city center) with its characteristic pink colour is probably one of the most beautiful castles in the county of Northumberland. Built in the 11th century , it maintains his intact structure over the years. Definitely, it should be a must in your list!

Si es tu primera vez en la ciudad, por supuesto que debes ir primero a visitar el Castillo de Newcastle. Probablemente no sea tan grande como otros, ¡pero es un hermoso lugar histórico de la ciudad que no te puedes perder!

También te recomendamos dar un paseo por el Quayside. Puedes tomar una bebida frente al río Tyne y luego cruzar el moderno puente Millennium y visitar el Baltic Center si eres fan del arte contemporáneo.

Construido en el siglo XI, este lugar ha sido renovado varias veces para mantener su aspecto original. Este hermoso castillo, fue además lugar de rodaje para la pelicula de Harry Potter y Downton Abbey.

El Castillo de Bamburgh (a 83 kilómetros del centro de la ciudad), con su característico color rosa, es probablemente uno de los castillos más bellos del condado de Northumberland. Construido en el siglo XI, mantiene su estructura intacta a lo largo de los años. ¡Definitivamente debería ser imprescindible en tu lista!
