Our Wedding

we met online in August of 2020 and scheduled our first date for a walk at a park near Liz’s house. we got a coffee and walked & talked for hours! we instantly clicked on so many levels, it felt like we had known eachother forever. we immediately scheduled our second date and the rest is history! we decided when it came time to choose the location for our engagement photos, it was only right to go back to where we had our very first date :) 2025 will be our five year anniversary, what better way to celebrate than getting married!

The Night We Got Engaged!!

It all happened so fast, Liz had no idea! On August 8th we went to Pittsburgh with Liz’s parents, little did she know Spencer asked Liz’s dad if he could marry her while on the trip! On  August 12th Spencer told Liz he “had to help his mom with something and would be gone for the day”…he was actually going to look at engagement rings with his mom! (Spoiler alert: he found the ring that day!) The same night, Liz randomly suggested a date night for that Saturday including dinner, drinks and checking out a new jazz club!  August 17th, that Saturday…Spencer knew this was the day! Before leaving for dinner, he had Liz come outside of their apartment for an early anniversary present. He told her it was a necklace and he’d put it on for her if she turned around. Of course, when she turned back around (because it was taking a suspiciously long time to put a necklace on) Spencer was down on one knee asking her to marry him!! She said YES OF COURSE OH MY GOD and it was all a blur after that.  We shared the perfect engagement dinner and night together to celebrate ❤️

HOTEL OPTIONS

We are so excited to have you at our wedding! We know there are many of you traveling from out of town. Our venue is 35 minutes north of Columbus in a very small town called Marengo. While there aren’t many hotel accommodations near the venue, there are tons of hotel accommodations available in Columbus! We have listed some hotel options for your convenience. Spencer and Liz will be staying at Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center. It is about 20 minutes from the Columbus Airport and 35 minutes from the venue! The second hotel option is in Mt. Vernon which is 25 minutes east of the venue.

This hotel is about 35 minutes from the venue. It is located in Lewis Center which is about 20 minutes from the Columbus Airport. Lewis Center is a very suburban area with tons of food options close by! Spencer and Liz will be staying here! We have a block of rooms here, use the code listed above to book!

Nationwide Hotel And Conference Center

This hotel is about 23 minutes from the venue and is located in Mt. Vernon which is the next town over. This could be a good option for our guests coming from Northern Ohio! Mt. Vernon is about 1 hour from the Columbus Airport and downtown Columbus. There is a lot to do in the area and we do have a block of rooms at this hotel, use code BWW.

Other Options

There are tons of hotels in Columbus. If you are traveling with a group and looking for something different, there are numerous AIRBNB options! The northern areas of Columbus would be much closer to the venue. These areas include New Albany, Westerville, Polaris, Lewis Center, and Delaware.   Additionally, there are many AIRBNB rentals listed in Mt. Vernon and the surrounding areas near Marengo, OH and the venue.

Travel

Uber and Lyft are limited near the venue! While it may be available for your ride there, it will likely be unavailable for your ride home. Buckeye Express Cab is available for rides back to Columbus. Phone: 614-777-7772
