Our Wedding

Brian and Liz met at Saint Mary's University in Winona, MN. Liz was a senior on the diving team and Brian was a sophomore that stopped by practice one day. Only after meeting Liz did Brian decide to join the team and they quickly became best friends. In May of the next year Liz graduated and was planning on moving back to the twin cities. Brian took an internship with his father in Grand Rapids MI. Before leaving for MI Brian invited Liz to his cousin's wedding the weekend after graduation. Brian and Liz spent the night convincing everyone they were "just friends." The next day Brian and his dad were driving to Michigan where Brian would stay for the whole summer. They kindly invited Liz and she decided to go. Liz spent two weeks in MI with Brian, Rick, and Bernie and when she left Brian and Liz were officially dating.

The Beginning

Liz and Brian would always make an effort to visit Michigan in the beautiful months of summer. Earlier this summer, Liz and Brian went for a long weekend visit to beautiful Saugatuck. It was like any other day, Rick, Bernie, Brian and Liz anchored out on Lake Michigan admiring the beautiful view. Everyone went to the front of the boat to take pictures. Brian and Liz were standing together facing the lake. Liz could feel Brian's heart racing. She knew it was finally happening. Brian asked Liz to marry him and she said yes!

​The Proposal

Michigan became a big part of Liz and Brian's relationship. It's where they started dating and where they got engaged so it seemed like the perfect spot to become husband and wife!

We want to share our favorite place with everyone so we hope you will be able to celebrate with us on our special day.We want to take a moment to thank all of our family and friends for the support we've gotten over the last 5 1/2 years.
