Pumpkins! Pig racing! Local cider. Apple canons! Quaint haunted houses. Fresh kettle corn! Hayrack rides. Pedal bikes! Fudge! An idyllic place to celebrate fall, and one of our favorite nostalgic haunts <3
Omaha is putting itself on the map with this park! There is a skate ribbon which has roller skating in the summer months and ice skating in the winter months. There is also a lookout over the river (look for the large whale bone structure) and a pond to walk around with swings/see-saws/slides! If you're lucky, you might see RC boat racing in the Gene Leahy side of the park (closer to the Old Market).
The number 1 zoo (back and forth with San Diego!)!! Don't miss the aquarium and the Pacific Northwest exhibit.
Entrance is free! This is an oasis for dog lovers. They offer different events, from themed days (senior dog meetup, BARKtoberfest, etc!) to dog yoga. Come here to meet friendly pups and watch them jump in kiddie pools while you kick back and sip lemonade!
One of Corky's (mother of the groom!!) favorite places to be! Very high chance you may see her here, capturing stunning photos of the beautiful flowers at Lauritzen. A great place for a tranquil walk near the city!
The Joslyn has been closed for TWO YEARS for renovations. We have heard their expansion is gorgeous, and seeing it from the outside has already been amazing! Highly recommend being one of the first people to check out their new space.
If you like perusing eccentric shops, this place is full of quirky items from Campbells soup merch to Budweiser collectible mugs to discontinued Barbies. A fun spot to stop in and experience random blasts from the past!
Omaha is a lovely little gem of a small city! Here is a link to a document with plenty of other things to do, organized by coffee shops / restaurants / free activities / bars / paid activities.
