Our Wedding

We’re so excited to share our story with you and even more excited to celebrate this next chapter with our favorite people. Thank you for walking alongside us during this season. Where we met might seem both unconventional and surprisingly common — we met at a bar. But not just any bar. It’s a place that’s played a special role in our lives and friendships over the years. It’s called Penn Social… and for the past few years, it’s been the home of King's Church DC, where we both attend. So yes, we met at a bar — but technically, we met at church in a bar. Welcome to DC. Like many young men thinking about the future, I (Noah) often wondered what kind of woman I’d want to spend my life with. I hoped for someone who loved her community deeply (check), lived and led in a way that reflected the heart of Jesus (check), and someone with an adventurous spirit who would keep me on my toes (many, many checks). Liz was and is all of that. As the spring of 2024 ended, we started spending more and more time together. I’d plan group hangouts just so I could invite Liz. One that stands out is a vintage airplane flyover on the National Mall. The FAA had cleared the airspace for it, and I told Liz a bunch of friends would be there. They couldn't find parking, so in reality, it was just us, my twin brother, his wife, and their two-month-old baby, Luca. But this didn’t scare her off. I believe it was during this afternoon that we both realized a few things were flying around, and I’m not talking about airplanes. I’m talking about sparks. And nine months later, I proposed near that very same spot. [Liz’s note – Noah knelt down to tie his shoelace right next to me that day, and I had a crazy gut feeling that someday I would see him on a knee in front of me again. Before we were dating. Which is insane. Sometimes, you just know.] Through the months we dated, I got to see more and more of Liz’s heart. She’s someone who leads with quiet strength and serves with joy. She’s gentle, deeply present, and someone everyone can depend on. Her witty humor brings out laughter even in the dullest moments. She’s the most wonderful woman I’ve ever known — and I still can’t believe I get to marry her. We’re thrilled to celebrate our wedding with so many people we love — in what might just be the greatest state in the country… Texas. As we count down the days, we’d love your prayers for our marriage and our future family. Our deepest hope is to build a life rooted in the strong and unshakeable Kingdom of God, and to use our marriage to bring others closer to Him.

It's the best ice cream in Texas (not to be confused with the best custard which is Connie's) and on Saturdays in the summer they do tours of their production facility! This is definitely the best activity for kids and it's cool to see as an adult as well.

Blue Bell Creameries & Country Store

Best coffee you'll find for 30 miles, promise. (Houston peeps will know what's up - its Tenfold beans!!) We bought our first coffee table book for our future home together in the gift shop in the back!
