Liz was living in a house on Lake of the Isles right after college with 4 friends (Nicolette, Emma, Julianna, and Erin) while Jack was currently living at home. Nicolette was moving for a new job so the house was hosting a going away party, which happened to land on September 6th (Jack's Birthday).

Through some mutual friends, Jack's cousin Will Cobbs invited Jack to the going away party to also celebrate his birthday. Jack had no plans so he agreed. Jack and Liz met that night and hit it off. A few weeks later hung out for the first time and had their first date at Uptown Tav. Jack tried to sit on the same side of the table as Liz but was quickly shut down. They continued to hang out and got more serious in October and officially started dating the night they went to an Illenium concert in November with Erin.

Jack and Liz have been together ever since, while Jack lived in St. Paul and then Willernie and Liz moved to Northeast Minneapolis with Emma. Jack and Liz then moved into their first apartment together in Northeast (right by the now wedding venue!) and bought their first home together in August of 2023. A few weeks later Jack proposed in the backyard of the house just the two of them, and then pulled off quite the surprise with a family dinner followed by an engagement party/housewarming party in our garage with all our closest friends and family. Fast forward to the wedding October 19th, 2024!
