Town Lake Trail runs along Lady Bird Lake, which is in Downtown Austin. The trail spans several miles and is perfect for a morning stroll or flat run.

Zilker Park is a perfect place for dog lovers to hang out. This gigantic open park is usually full of dogs and people playing Volleyball, Spike Ball, and other lawn games.

Located in Downtown Austin, Rainey Street is a famous strip of bars and restaurants. They are known for being mostly converted old cottages. Just south of Lady Bird Lake is a wonderful shopping district located on South Congress street. Get your own pair of cowboy boots or take a picture at the famous "I love you so much" mural next to Jo's Coffee.

Conveniently across the street from Zilker Park, the Umlauf Sculpture garden is a wonderful museum to visit and a great place for kids!
