It all started with a fairytale...Liz and Ricky met on the 4th floor of Nye Hall at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2008. Living just two doors down from each other, it didn't take long for Liz and Ricky to bond over their love of Snowboarding and country music. Ricky was able to teach Liz all about football so she could follow along during Saturday games and enjoy watching Kaep play. Not only was he skilled in his sports knowledge, but also Calculus. Liz had always been terrible with Math, and Ricky helped Liz study and complete her Calculus homework. And with that, Ricky decided to ask Liz to be his girlfriend, in the form of a personalized fairytale *swoon.* And so it began. Over the next four years at UNR, Liz and Ricky spent their time snowboarding, attending Lambda Chi Fraternity events, football games, and hanging out with family and friends. Liz studied abroad in 2011 and for six months, they used Skype and the cherished BlackBerry Messenger to communicate while 8 hours apart. In 2012, Liz and Ricky both graduated from UNR. In January, 2013, Liz moved to the Sacramento area to start her career. It wasn't until June 2015 that Liz and Ricky moved to Folsom together to end the long distance portion of their relationship. The next few months, Liz and Ricky began planning their life together. On September 12th, 2015, Liz and Ricky went with Christine to a Food and Wine event at Northstar. At the end of the afternoon, they took the gondola up to the Ritz-Carlton and checkout out hotel. Christine and Ricky led Liz all over the grounds to try to find the "perfect spot" unbeknown to Liz. By the time they had walked around the entire hotel, Liz decided it was time to go home. Christine and Ricky said that they hadn't taken a picture yet and they had to take one before they could leave. Liz, oblivious, agreed and went to take a picture with Ricky overlooking the valley. After a few pictures, Liz decided they were done and went to walk away. Ricky grabbed Liz's hand, pulled her back, and got down on one knee. Liz and Ricky are excited to say "I do" in South Lake Tahoe. It is so close to where it all began, where there relationship has grown, and where they hope to continue making memories together. Our adventure starts here.

The Reno airport is the closest airport to the Ridge Resorts and is about an hour and fifteen minute drive.

The Wedding Party will be staying at The Ridge Resorts. If booking a reservation at The Ridge Resorts, please use the reservation code, "Hanna" to receive a discounted room rate between September 21st and September 28th, 2016.

If you are staying at the Ridge Resorts, the Blue Go shuttle provides free transportation to Stateline! Check out some great restaurants, shopping, activities and casinos. The shuttle runs every hour until midnight. The front desk will provide you with the shuttle times and information upon check-in.

A 2.4 mile ride up in the Heavenly Mountain Gondola will leave you breathless as you take in panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. On your way up, stop at the Observation Deck for photos, a latte at Cafe Blue or a unique Heavenly souvenir at The Gondola Sports shop. Once you get to the top, head up the Tamarack Express chairlift with your Scenic Gondola ticket for some of the best views of Lake Tahoe and access to a series of hiking trails, ranging from beginner to expert.

Heavenly Mountain Resort

The Taylor Creek Visitor Center is located on the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The visitor center is also the hub where four fascinating self-guided trails start and the home of the Stream Profile Chamber, a primary attraction at the visitor center complex.The Stream Profile Chamber, located 1/4 mile down the Rainbow Trail, provides a view of the stream environment allowing visitors to study a diverted section of Taylor Creek through a panel of aquarium-like windows and is a major attraction for local conservation and environmental education programs. A 180 degree curved diorama illustrates life above and below the water. This diorama boasts a mural on the walls which shows all the seasons experienced at Taylor Creek. There are also creative informational signs and hidden critters.
