Q + A

When do I need my passport?

Every person traveling will need a valid passport. If you do not have a passport, you should apply for one ASAP as the process can take months. Your passport should not expire within 6 months AFTER travel! Even though your passport may be valid, the airline can deny you boarding if your passport expires within 6 months AFTER travel. Do not risk it, renew if you are due!

Enjoy all the exciting, daytime activities and nightly entertainment right at the resort – from wine and food pairings in our wine cellar to theme nights and concerts under the stars. And, try a tour or excursion when you want to explore Puerto Vallarta.

How long should I stay there?

We picked Puerto Vallarta for our destination wedding location as it is an amazing vacation spot with many things to do and see, from snorkeling cruises, to island hopping, food and liquor tastings, zip-lining, or just hanging at the beach and exploring the town! We also recommend splitting your time between Puerto Vallarta, and the beautiful surf towns of Punta Mita/Sayulita which is an hour north of the airport. The Bride and Groom will be staying at Secrets Resort from Wednesday February 26th to Tuesday March 4th. The longer you stay, the better; but stay as long as you like!

The beach in some spots have pebbles and rocks so it would be a good idea to bring water shoes if wanting to swim in the ocean.

Yes! Please bring cash for cash purchases and to tip! The hotel ATM will charge a ridiculous amount of money to pull cash out so it's best to bring some from the states.
