Check out the famous Chain of Lakes in Minneapolis, which includes Lake Harriet, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake of the Isles. This time of year is perfect for walking around the lakes or renting a kayak or pedal boat to spend some time on the water!
Rentals are available at Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska through Wheel Fun Rentals.
The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a lovely spot for a walk! It features modern-art sculptures, including the classic Minneapolis icon "Spoonbridge and Cherry".
It is also across the street from the renowned Walker Modern Art Museum which has many great permanent and traveling exhibits.
This museum is located in the old Washburn A Mill and details the history of flour milling in Minneapolis. St. Anthony Falls and the North Loop area around the museum also make for a gorgeous walk to explore!
Lizzie's favorite bookstore! Magers and Quinn has been a staple of the Uptown neighborhood in Minneapolis and happens to be a few doors down from the Granada Theater, our reception venue. It has lots of great used and new books, I bet you'll find something you love here!
A great spot for brunch, dinner, and drinks. Usually has vegan options in addition to non-vegan options. Also has the most excellent chocolate stout cake. Lizzie used to work here as a host back in the day!
Delicious Cuban food in the East Harriet neighborhood (close to Pat & Marianne's house). Would be a great spot for breakfast!
