It all began at a wine bar in Santa Monica, as Lizzie was living in LA at the time, to join their mutual friend Erica for a wine night.

Nick was visiting Erica from Las Vegas for a few days and sat across from Lizzie. The night was a whirlwind of surprises, wine, and great food, capped off at a sushi bar where Nick, in a bold move, decided to give a toast—because who doesn’t love a grand gesture after two hours? Naturally, he included Lizzie in the toast, despite barely knowing her. Smooth, right?

Since then, their love story has taken them from Vegas to Hawaii, then to San Diego, and now back to Hawaii—because apparently, they like to keep things tropical.

And the rest, as they say, is history!
