Lizzy and Chase met in college through mutual acquaintances. They had both gone to Troy for middle and high school so they began talking about that and the people they both knew. Eventually Chase decided he wanted to ask Lizzy out. He did so over text message. Lizzy’s best friend, Grace, said “Duh” because she was holding Lizzy’s phone at the time. If Lizzy had been holding it she would have said yes. After 2 1/2 years Chase finally proposed and Lizzy said yes.
