On Monday, April 28th we would like to offer you the option for a guided walking tour of Florence as an inspiring introduction to our wedding celebrations with 2 excellent guides. The cost of the tour guides has been covered, but you are welcome to tip our wonderful guides!

GUIDED TOUR FORM

Tour Option # 1. Wedding Tour (max 24 people)

1486, the Wedding of the Century: Lorenzo Tornabuoni marries Giovanna degli Albizi. A true story of one of the most spectacular Florentine Renaissance weddings. Florence in its heydays, two young people, beautiful, members of the powerful Florentine upper class families. How did that work, strategies, who-with-who, the mothers, THE DRESS, the dowry, the art commission. It all culminates in unrivaled splendour. We'll walk where they walked and were cheered on, get to know their families and see their palazzi. And end in the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, right in the splendid Cappella Tornabuoni, surrounded by Domenico Ghirlandaio's immense and stunning fresco's.

10:15am - Meet at the Facade of the Church of Santa Maria Novella. Your hostess, Cait, will have a sign that says Wedding Tour and she will bring you to the place where the guided tour will start.

1:00pm - The tour will end at Piazza Santa Maria Novella.

Tour Option #2. Renaissance Tour (max 24 people)

Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, the new Athens in Italy. The magnificent result of a long and complicated history, filled with extraordinary events and people, such as the leading Medici family. Our itinerary offers an insight, and leads us to breathtaking squares with lavish palaces, cobbled medieval streets with curious tower houses, the magnificent cathedral and other churches including jaw dropping frescoes

10:15am - Meeting point Facade of the Church of Santa Maria Novella. Your guide will have a sign that says Renaissance Tour.

1:00pm - The tour will end at Piazza Santa Maria Novella.
