Drake and Lizzy met in the spring of 2019. It was Drake's 21st birthday, and he had gone out for dinner with his family to Otts, where Lizzy just happened to be his waitress. Later that evening, Lizzy and Drake ended up at the same party (courtesy of Dale Hoff). There, they discovered that they had actually gone to elementary school together, though neither of them remembered one another.

Their relationship was off to a slow start with Drake being painfully shy and Lizzy talking enough for the both of them. It took one whole year and the help of several friends for them to officially start dating. If it weren't for the perfect timing of Jacob Cason, who made sure Drake and Lizzy would be in the same place at the same time, or the brutal honesty of Dan Hass, who told them just how it was, they might never be together today.

Three years, two dogs, and one house later Drake worked up the courage to ask Lizzy to marry him. It was March 24th, 2023, Drake's 25th birthday. He had tricked Lizzy into getting all of their friends together to go out for his birthday. Little did she know, it was actually to celebrate their engagement. Drake had effectively surprised Lizzy, which is an amazing feat due to how nosy Lizzy is.

Now, September 21st, 2024 marks the beginning of the rest of their lives.
