Q + A

If I’m a day guest, what time shall I arrive?

The ceremony begins at 4:30pm. Please be prompt and arrive at 4pm. Please note, guests can’t gain access before 4pm due to venue restrictions.

If I’m an evening guest, what time shall I arrive?

The evening begins at 8pm, so please be ready to party!

Can I park overnight at the venue?

No, unfortunately the lakeview car park doesn’t allow cars left overnight.

Are children invited?

As much as we love your little ones, we’ll only be inviting children from the bridal party.

Where can I drink before?

Our favourite pub, The King Henry VIII, is opposite the venue - it’s the perfect place to have some drinks before heading over to the venue! On the day of the wedding, Lloyd and the boys will be in the pub from 3pm and everyone is more than welcome to join. Evening guests, please feel free to meet at the pub anytime in the evening before coming over for 8pm!

How do I find the venue entrance?

Please read the ‘Venue’ tab for more information on how to access the correct part of the venue. However, both day and evening guests should arrive at the Lakeview Car Park. In the unlikely event you are unable to gain access, please call the Guthrie Pavilion: 01732 861 721

Will I need to pre-book taxis?

YES please pre book taxis - it’s a remote area and there is no Uber! Our suggested companies: Claire’s Taxis: 07572 019532 Westerham Taxis: 01959 562091 Relyon Cars: 01732 863800 Edenbridge Cars: 01732 864009 Edenbridge Taxis: 0800 612 1076

What is the dress code?

Black tie / suits for men, and long/formal/cocktail dresses for the gals. Pretty please no black dresses, as the bridesmaids will be wearing these.

Where can I stay?

Our main recommendation is the Marriott in Lingfield. It’s a 16 minute drive from the venue, has spa / pool facilities, and Hannah and the girls will be staying here the night before! Other recommendations are (in order of distance!): Greyhound Inn (Hever), The Leicester Arms (Penshurst), The George and Dragon (Westerham).
