The ceremony and reception will be held at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center in Madison. As we are hosting a smaller, more intimate celebration, you may be invited to either the ceremony, the reception, or both. The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting, so we recommend dressing comfortably for the elements. During the reception, there will be both indoor and outdoor space available for celebrating and socializing.

The wedding party will be dressed in formal attire (suits and dresses), but we want our guests to feel comfortable and wear whatever they like! Garden party attire is perfect for our nature center setting—think light, breezy outfits like sundresses, dress pants with ties, or khakis and polos. Whatever nice clothing you have available, we’ll be thrilled to celebrate with you just as you are.

Yes! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Embassy Suites by Hilton and at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. For more details, please check the “Travel” section of our website. Of course, you’re welcome to book any hotel in the area that best suits your preferences.

We will have a shuttle (school bus) traveling between the hotels (Embassy and Country Inn and Suites) and the venue. The bus will have two pickup times at both hotels. Embassy Suites Pickup Times: 1.) 3:30pm-3:40pm 2.) 4:30pm - 4:40pm Country Inn & Suites Pickup Times: 1.) 3:55pm - 4:05pm 2.) 4:55pm - 5:05pm The shuttle will also take guests back to the hotels in the evening. 1.) First shuttle will arrive to pick guests up at 10:30pm. 2.) Second shuttle will arrive to pick guests up at 11:30pm.

We love your little ones, but we kindly ask that this be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of family members of the bride and groom. We understand this can be challenging for families, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to arrange childcare. We hope you can join us for a fun, relaxing evening to celebrate together!

Yes, there will be an assortment of beer, wine, and spirits available at the venue. There will be an open bar for all guests until the venue closes, but don’t forget tips for the bartenders and DJ!

After the ceremony, we’ll transition to cocktail hour/reception where we’ll celebrate with food, drinks, and dancing! We also have activities both indoors and out that we hope keep you engaged and happy throughout the celebration!

Yes, there will be food! We’ve chosen to keep things casual with pizza and salad for dinner, featuring delicious pies from the famous Ian’s Pizza. After dinner, we’ll also be serving cake to celebrate. We want everyone to enjoy the meal, so if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please be sure to note them in your RSVP, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Yes, there is parking available at the venue. We encourage carpooling or using rideshare services from the hotel for convenience. Overnight parking is allowed at the venue, so feel free to leave your car after the reception! Please remember to move your car from the venue by the afternoon of May 4th.
