Rosa and Logan shared a bit of Spanish and that was how their dating profiles were deleted after a week of wondering if the other was a food-poisoning hallucination. Soon they would share a home in sunny Canton, Ohio.Logan decided he would marry Rosa Blanca as he stumbled ill through the Oaxacan airport, one massage treatment and greasy chorizo having wreaked havoc upon his now-provably mortal form. A love of learning united the two, and now they knew a few more things: prices are high for a white boy in Tlacolula; More than any other resource, Quickcrete had been truly democratized in Mexico; Lactaid and digestive enzymes can only go so far.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Dry-heaving and wishing on fallen eyelashes instagram models would kill for, Logan said “I wish to marry this woman” (in his head, because otherwise the wish doesn’t count) before chewing more anti-nausea candy. Rosa Blanca would ferry him down the aforementioned democratized-concrete stairway of the $27 hotel, its Escher-esque power inducing a haunting vertigo into the taxi and all the way home.Making their home in Canton, Ohio for now, Rosa Blanca and Logan bond over the city’s two main exports: Football and death. Neither care much for football, and death will for a while be happily ignored (sudden aggressive merging on i-77 an unfortunately common exception).

A brother from another mother, Adam, will be officiating the wedding! Adam introduced Rosa to Jesus at Hiram College and shared the story of hope from the Bible that got Rosa through some really dark times. As any good brother, Adam has been there for Rosa during the good and bad times always ready to help. From Walmart runs to installing new floors in Rosa and Logan’s home and everything before that, Adam has shown Rosa the heart of Jesus. She couldn’t think of anyone better to join her and Logan in holy matrimony but her big brother in Christ. Adam will be joining the party with his beautiful wife Sofia and sweet babies Milo and Matea.

Roxana and Rosa have been friends since 1995. No matter the distance they've always made the effort to be there for one another so when Rosa asked Roxana to be her Maid of Honor Roxana immediately said yes! She booked the sitter for her two babies and is planning to fly from Los Angeles with her fiancé to join Rosa on her special day!

Rosa is so blessed to have met Sofia through her college friend Adam.  Shortly after Adam introduced the two fun Latinas they quickly began going on and on in Spanish - and the conversation just keeps going! Sofia has a special place in Rosa's heart as she is the first to always redirect Rosa to God. Sofia is a true sister in Christ! As any good sister would, Sofia joyfully agreed to be Rosa's Matron of Honor. Sofia will be joining Rosa and Logan on their special day along with her beautiful Ecuadorian family!

From fun college days to fun real adulting days - and everything in between - Mackenzie has been a great friend since they first met! Even during Rosa's Harry Potter phase. Mackenzie will be joining Rosa and Logan on their special day with her husband, also Logan but a different Logan. We aren't mormon.

From the streets of Mid-City in Los Angeles to Happy Valley in Pennsylvania and all their traveling in between, Griselda has been Rosa's favorite hiking buddy - until Logan came along. As the first to attend college in their friend group, they cheered each other on through undergrad. Though Rosa did not continue after that, Griselda did. Dr. Griselda Martinez will be joining Rosa and Logan on their special day as they become Mr. and Mrs. Finley.

Milo is the coolest little boy in the Midwest! He is SMART, soooo kind, sweet, and hilarious. Milo is always ready for an adventure so when Rosa and Logan asked him if he was up for a secret mission he agreed. Milo will be joining Rosa and Logan on their special day as their Ring Bearer.

Dallas met Logan online some 14 years ago in a Team Fortress 2 server where the two bonded over the gut-destroying power of the French Bread Pizza Sandwich (two microwave french bread pizzas used as the bread for a sandwich, usually something like a Philly Steak). The two would first plan to meet for the first time at a Games Done Quick event, but that became really, really lame by the time they had the funds, so they opted for a trip to Logan’s native country of sunny Northeast Ohio. They would continue to bond over culinary appreciation and the exact number of stacked soda cans and glass bottles which could be present on a computer desk before it was “a problem”.

After a year in busy Delaware, Ohio, Andrew found Logan abandoned in a dumpster living off leftover pizza and a copy of the full Boardwalk Empire television series. Studying Microbiology at the time, Andrew hypothesized that introducing social activity into Logan’s petri dish would help him develop hobbies and a healthy diet; instead, Logan grew a distaste for food and instead drank Mello Yello while eating pizzaritos and playing Overwatch until 3AM, a habit onlookers would describe as “Disturbing; utterly self-destructive and ill-advised.”

As brothers, Chase and Logan would finally become friends when no longer contractually obligated to live under the same roof. With enough space to realize how similar they both are, Chase and Logan discuss and share music and ruminate on the state of the world and whether or not a penis-shaped fishing lure could really attract more gay fish.

Straight out of Washington, DC, Peter came equipped with a stately knowledge of Warhammer, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Godzilla films. Along with their friend Nick, Peter and Logan would spend college Fridays of their first semester watching movies and eating pizza (or boneless “chicken”). Logan’s taste for salty food and late-night movie marathons would remain long after university, and the two still intermittently convene to discuss the shortcomings of following entertainment franchises long past their prime.

BAM Healthy Cuisine (one of Rosa's favorite spots to eat in town) is located in the same plaza as well as Best Burgers, Handel's Ice Cream, and the classic coffee place: Starbucks.

And while that's a reasonable assumption, festive attire&nbsp;actually&nbsp;transcends the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/winter-date-ideas-4788057" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">holiday season</a>.To start, this style of dress code is much more versatile than you might think. A relatively new term, it allows guests to really have fun with their looks and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/end-traditional-wedding-dress-code-5223210" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">show off their personal style</a>. It also works for any season, any time of day, and in most venues, ultimately making it easier for guests to dress for any type of celebration.So, to make things as clear as possible when it comes to this particular style, we consulted with two stylists to fill us in on everything you need to know about festive attire. Plus, details on how to perfectly nail the dress code for every&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/average-wedding-guest-spend-611-dollars-2023-7376845" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">upcoming wedding</a>&nbsp;you have to attend. Meet the Expert<a href="https://www.erikaplackowski.com/pages/about" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ericka Plackowski</a>&nbsp;is a bridal stylist based in Detroit, Michigan. Her goal is to help brides create and put together the best looks for their special day. Lara Mahler is the founder and chief planner of&nbsp;<a href="https://theprivilegeisminenyc.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Privilege is Mine</a>, a wedding planning collective based in New York. What Is Festive Attire?&nbsp;"Festive attire is a fun and colorful spin on semi-formal wear," says bridal stylist&nbsp;Erika&nbsp;Plackowski. "It's an excuse to wear bright colors and prints to a wedding." It's also a mix of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/cocktail-attire-wedding-4844364" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">cocktail</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/semi-formal-wedding-attire-4800687" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">semi-formal</a>, so while you should expect to wear something on the fancy side, you can also let your personal style shine through."Festive attire is&nbsp;cocktail attire but with a fun colorful flair," adds wedding planner Lara Mahler. "Guests are&nbsp;encouraged to have fun and play with their look with bold colors and accessories."

While you don't need the same formality of a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/gallery/black-tie-wedding-guest-dresses" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">black-tie, full-length gown</a>, you should opt for something that looks put-together and stylish. "For women, we are looking at cocktail or party dresses paired with playful heels and accessories," Mahler notes.You can also think outside the box and opt for a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/gallery/jumpsuits-for-wedding-guest-attire" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">jumpsuit</a>&nbsp;or something unique. Plackowski recommends a party dress or a cocktail dress in a fun color or a bold print. "You can definitely have fun with some&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/sex-and-the-city-blue-wedding-shoes-5196482" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Carrie Bradshaw</a>-type accessories," she adds. "What's great about this is [that] you can wear heels or flats."Most importantly, though, don't forget about the season and location when choosing your overall outfit. Mahler notes that the weight of the fabric will change depending on the climate, especially as it pertains to summer festive attire. "If you're in a warmer climate, you may opt for a chiffon dress, linen, or cotton outfits," she says. "Something lightweight and breathable. For cooler climates, you can go for something heavier, like velvet, satin, or something heavily beaded."

Instead of wearing a simple black suit, get creative with different textures and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/burgundy-wedding-suits-5201512" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">colors</a>, like green, brown, or cream-colored hues, and patterned suits (or a suit jacket), like houndstooth. Additionally, "Opt for a suit in a fun color with a nice printed tie," Plackowski advises. "If you're bold, wear a nice dress shirt in a fun print to complement your plus one." For those who feel more comfortable in a classic black suit, however, both Mahler and Plackowski recommend jazzing up your attire with a colorful tie or pocket square. Accessories like&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/wedding-jewelry-5116123" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">fun jewelry</a>&nbsp;can also change up a look without feeling too overwhelming. If you aren't afraid of taking risks, though, a floral suit can be fun for spring or summer festive attire, or a really bright shade like&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/pink-wedding-suits-for-grooms-5189789" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">pink</a>&nbsp;or yellow. Don't want to go that offbeat? Mahler says to play around with materials. For warmer climates, she recommends&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/seersucker-wedding-suits-5224238" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">seersucker</a>, linen, and other breathable fabrics.As for fall, winter, and cooler climates, Mahler says to opt for "pea coats, turtle necks, corduroy, and velvet suit jackets." In general, find a look that is dressed up and put together, but more fun than just a classic black ensemble.

Festive Attire Etiquette 

Since festive attire tends to be more fun, there aren't many etiquette rules to follow. According to Plackowski, the only rule is that you&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/story/what-not-to-wear-to-a-wedding" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">should not upstage the couple</a>. That means steering clear of anything that's white and outfits that have the potential to become the center of attention.Mahler also recommends dressing for the season. "If we are around&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brides.com/new-years-eve-wedding-guest-dresses-4779804" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">New Year's Eve</a>,&nbsp;it might be fun to wear a festive mini dress. If the wedding is around Christmas, it might be nice to opt for a festive maxi dress option," she says. "I think in the end, what we are working towards with festive attire is to really channel the time of year: the colors surrounded by the season and the weather."Lastly, don't mistake festive attire for casual. "Men are still expected to wear a suit and women should wear fun dresses," Plackowski says. After all, weddings are formal affairs, even though festive dress codes allow them to be a bit more non-traditional and unique.
