What is the dress code?
The dress code is semi-formal. The ceremony will (weather-permitting) take place outdoors, so we recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable. While it may be cool outside, the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors and heated, so removable layers are encouraged.
For ladies, floor-length or midi dresses are ideal, paired with wraps or shawls that can be easily removed once inside. Gentlemen can opt for slacks, button-up shirts, and jackets, with the option to remove the jacket indoors. Keep in mind that the setting is both elegant and cozy!
What time should I arrive at the venue?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3 PM. To ensure you’re seated and settled before the ceremony starts, we recommend arriving at 2:45 PM. This will give you plenty of time to find parking, get to your seat, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before the festivities begin.
Are children invited to the wedding?
Yes, we’d love for your little ones to join in the celebration! We just kindly ask that if they become a bit restless during the ceremony, you step away for a moment so they don’t distract others. We’re excited to have everyone there and want the day to be enjoyable for all, including the kiddos!
Do you have a hotel block for guests?
Unfortunately, we were not able to secure a hotel block. However, we’ve listed recommended lodging under the Travel tab for your convenience.
What should we do if we can’t attend?
If you’re unable to attend, please go to the RSVP section and select “Do Not Attend.” We will also have a Zoom link available for those who would like to join the ceremony virtually.
Is there a gift registry?
Our gift registry can be found on the Registry tab of this website. While we’ve listed a few gift ideas, our main preference is contributions to our First Home Fund.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. We’ll have blankets available for use and the ceremony is expected to last just 15 minutes. All other portions of the day will be indoors and heated. If it’s too cold, we’ll move the ceremony indoors as well.
Are there any COVID-19 precautions or guidelines?
No specific guidelines will be in place. We do ask that if you are positive for Covid or any other illness that you respect the safety of our guests and join us virtually through the Zoom link instead.
What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?
You’ll be able to inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We kindly request an unplugged ceremony, but don’t worry! We have chosen our photographer with great care and will be sure to share the moments they capture with you all.
For the reception, we’ll have QR codes posted and encourage you to take and share as many photos as you like during that portion of the day.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, we will have an open bar with beer and wine available, along with a complimentary champagne toast.
What time does the reception end?
The reception is expected to end at 8:00 PM.
Who should I contact with any additional questions?
You can contact the bride directly! She’s a bit too Type A to hand over the reins. Feel free to reach out to her at 817-266-4971.
