Jacob and I first met at our mutual friends’ wedding. My first impression of him was “Wow. What a catch. How does a girl land a guy like that?” Fast forward, a few years later my dad went to buy seed from the Garretts’. My dad was working in the field beside the house. He saw me coming, stopped the tractor, and ran over to my car. “Logan the Garrett boy, was asking about you today! Call him sometime.”


I called, and a few weeks later, he had me delivering him food to the fields he was working in. Rain finally came, and we got cleaned up and went on our first official date. He took me to dinner at Outback Steakhouse and to see the movie Top Gun: Maverick. He was such a gentleman, and he was so sweet. I knew we shared something special after that date night.


We shared so many special memories of the time we’ve spent together. My ALL time favorite memory is our trip to Mexico. That extraordinary trip changed our lives forever. Our third day in Mexico, we woke up, met our friends, and drove into Cancun to ride through the lagoon on speedboats and snorkel in the gulf. It was one of the best experiences. Shortly after we arrived back at the resort, I was anxious to get to the beach. While at the beach, we watched dolphins in the sea with our favorite Mexican margaritas in our hands. I didn’t think life could get much better until it did, Jacob got on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him! I have been smitten since!
