What food will be served?
We will be having a buffett style classic barbecue spread that will include 2 choices of protein, hot and cold sides as well as dinner rolls. Vegetarian and vegan options will not be available
What time should we arrive?
Try to arrive around 2:45pm to allow for enough time to make your way from the designated parking area to the ceremony site. We will have people helping directing where to go as well as helping those who need additional assistance
What time should we expect to leave?
The night will conclude by 10pm. You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here! A couple lodging options ranging in accommodations and price are listed under the Travel tab
Will the ceremony and reception be inside?
The ceremony will be inside but the reception will be outside under a party tent so plan accordingly for the weather. Rain or shine the wedding will go on
Will there be an open bar?
Yes there will be an open bar. The drinks will be on us but the hangover will be on you and remember this is a family event so act accordingly
Is there shuttle/taxi services available?
There are limited taxi and shuttle options in the area, so we ask that our guests are responsible for safely getting themselves back to their lodgings at the end of the night. We are not responsible for finding our guests rides home
Will children be allowed at the wedding?
Yes children are invited to attend! We will have a craft table and games set out for children. We do ask that parents keep an eye on their little ones while they are here since the wedding will be held at a farm where there are potential hazards (wooded area, wild animals, poison ivy, old barn stairs, etc)
Can I take pictures on my phone?
We respectfully ask that during the ceremony you will put your phones away. We have found an amazing photographer who we will only have for a short period of time during the day who is capable of capturing this very special moment. We would actually encourage everyone to take as many photos and videos as possible during the reception and share these to a photo drive we have created. QR codes will be spread through the tent where you can upload your media.
What should I wear?
The dress code is western elegance. Women are encouraged to wear knee to floor length summer dresses (highly encourage bright colors & florals) and to accessorize with boots, dressy cowboy hats, belts, fringe, etc.
Men are encouraged to wear slacks with a short or long sleeve collared button up. You are also encouraged to accessorize with boots, a dressy cowboy hat, western belts, bolo tie, neckerchief, etc. Feel free to get creative while trying to avoid “costume” western attire. Please reserve white for the bride and plan for the weather!
