Working for the same company, in the same building, Logan and Candace had met in passing a handful of times but never really spoke. For those of you who don't know, Logan had worked as an armored guard prior to working at their current company, and he held on to that "don't approach me" kind of persona. Not intentionally, but that was definitely the vibe. So Candace was a little hesitant when one of their mutual work friends had suggested Candace go on a date with him. Smiling wasn't exactly Logan's natural state, and Candace didn't know him well enough to know that work Logan, and home Logan were very different.

Then one day when Candace was having lunch in the break room, Logan and a couple other office ladies came in to put away food they had left over from a pot luck. Simply observing Logan's interaction and his particular response to the ladies wanting to keep warm sour cream that had clearly been out for hours, Candace saw Logan begin to laugh and smiled so brightly. He was of course laughing at the poor sucker who would later end up using said sour cream and the misery they'd be in after. But seeing that bright smile, Candace couldn't help but smile herself. He obviously was not as serious as his face led her to believe. She decided if he ever did ask her out, she would say yes.

A couple weeks later Candace got a random email from Logan, where he asked her out on a date. All the while throwing their mutual friend under the bus in case it wasn't a yes. Obviously she said yes, otherwise you wouldn't be here reading this silly story.

Logan was scheduled to be back home in California for his father's retirement party, and they had to also work around Aevrie's schedule, so they wouldn't go on a date for two weeks. So rather than just waiting for the weeks to pass, they talked on the phone nearly every night after Aevrie went to bed. Taking the time to get to know each other a bit before finally going on their first date. It was a great start to a beautiful friendship that would later become the foundation of their relationship. It was through those conversations that Logan came up with the perfect idea for their first date.

From the start they were open and honest about what they wanted and needed in a relationship. Shared what they'd learned about themselves in past relationships and what they never want to repeat. They've never held back when it came to their feelings and are committed to always being transparent with each other, even with difficult or uncomfortable conversations.

These two love to have fun and go on adventures. They embrace each others quirks and weirdness. The best partner they could ask for. And above all, they love each other unconditionally and can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together!
