Our Story

We met at a restaurant in the city on a night neither of us actually wanted to go out. Our mutual friends had convinced us to come, and THANK GOD they did. As soon as we started talking, we just clicked. We spent the whole night together like we’d known each other for years, and from that point on, we were kind of inseparable.

A few days later, our mutual friends who had also recently started dating (how perfect is that?) were planning a trip to Boston and pulled the most subtle matchmaking move of all time. They told Jared I’d only go if he went which I never said and then told me he’d only go if I went which he never said. Long story short, we both ended up in Boston, sharing a room, and it just brought us even closer. One night over dinner we sat and talked for hours, and after that, it felt like something real was starting.

From then on, Jared was driving from Westchester to Queens four or five days a week. He’d plan thoughtful dates and surprise me with sweet little things such as picnics in Central Park, dinners with a hidden plan, moments that made regular days feel special. Then he’d drive all the way back home. (We like to joke that he should’ve been sponsored by EZ Pass at that point!)

Eight months in, we moved in together. Everything just felt easy, like we were building something solid without even trying to force it. Then last July, Jared proposed in Morocco after a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Sahara Desert. It was beautiful, surreal, and emotional for so many reasons.

What made it even more meaningful was that Jared had asked my dad for his blessing before he passed away just a month earlier. My dad knew everything about the proposal, and knowing that made the moment even more emotional and unforgettable. We felt his presence with us that day, and I know he wouldn’t have chosen anyone better for me.

Now we’re here, planning our wedding and getting ready for everything ahead. We’ve already shared so much love, laughter, and life together, and this next chapter feels like the beginning of a forever we’ve always known was meant to be.
